St. Pete Beach, Florida - Travel Guide

The city of St. Pete Beach is located in Tampa Bay near Saint Petersburg, Florida. Tourists visiting St Pete Beach can access the city through Saint Petersburg Clearwater International Airport and Tampa International Airport. With the Suncoast Beach Trolley, you will be able to conveniently explore all nearby unique beach communities starting from Pass A Grille to Clearwater Beach. However, some cities are not served such as Belleair Shore, Belleair Beach and Kenneth City. You can also rent a car to take you around St Pete Beach or opt to take a taxi as well.



Being such a small city, there is not so much to see in St Pete Beach but this doesn’t mean that you can’t have a great vacation here. The white sand Gulf beaches with their green tropical water are among the top reasons why most people visit St Pete Beach. These beaches are extremely beautiful and are accessible easily by the public from different points on the island.


Then there is the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum which is of course tourism jewelry in the city. Hurley Park is a city park located on the beach and features restrooms, shelter, picnic, baseball field, playground, community center, tennis court, basket ball pitch and public BBQ Grills. Forte De Soto Park in St Pete Beach is also very popular among tourists and of course worthy every minute of your time. The Beach Theatre is a place where locals and tourists gather to see movies. The one screen theatre has a long history and started its operations in 1939. You will also find more than 30 unique varieties of wine and beer alongside the common popcorns, sodas, nacho, ice cream and candies found in the movies. This is where you can catch all the new movie releases alongside other family favorites. Pass A Grille in St Pete Beach is well known for its wonderful homes for viewing and provides a public access to the beautiful beaches. It is a great place to go for a fishing expedition and day trips can also be organized for you to visit the nearby islands.



You can also rent a motorcycle at St Pete Beach and spend a day enjoying what the beach communities have to offer. There might not be big shopping malls in St Pete Beach but shopping is always an enjoyable activity. Corey Avenue has a collection of many wonderful stores and shops as well as top class restaurants. Nancy Markoe Gallery sells mainly fine American crafts and you can also find a large collection of merchandise at Florida Jean Company as well.



There are many places in St. Pete Beach to eat serving different kinds of dishes such as the Caribbean, Asian and South American cuisines. Some of the top bars and restaurants include the Black Palm Restaurant, Sea Critters Café, The Wharf Restaurant and Bar, Fetishes and Hurricane Seafood Restaurant.
